Frank O. Sloan, Managing Partner
Mr. Sloan has managed investment portfolios for over forty-five years. He has navigated through the 1970’s recession and stagflation, double digit interest rates followed by the market crash in 1987, the dot-com bust in 2000, the Great Recession of 2008, and most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience has been invaluable in the development and refinement of the unique investment methodology, Post Modern Portfolio Management (PMPM). Early in his career, Mr. Sloan recognized investment strategies must transition to be more dynamic and tactical due to the global nature of the economy. Technological innovations have made global information flow instantaneous resulting in immediate market reaction. This has caused a dramatic evolution in capital market dynamics. Throughout his career, Mr. Sloan has maintained that risk management is of the utmost importance. However, PMPM rejects the notion that volatility and risk are synonymous. The investment management philosophy perceives risk as not participating in the performance of a certain asset class during a particular stage of a market cycle. Mr. Sloan’s long-term strategy strives to capitalize on the opportunities created by short-term volatility and the emotional reaction of investors. Recognized by numerous publications and organizations for his investment achievements, his greatest rewards are helping clients meet their financial goals. Mr. Sloan is a frequent speaker at industry events and is a graduate of the University of Texas and the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Frank enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time in the Texas hill country.
